By 1927, the Club was known as the Edmonton and District Radio Club. The Northern Alberta Radio Club (NARC) was formally incorporated on July 26, 1956 and provides an organization through which amateur radio operators can work together to advance and improve the hobby of amateur radio. |
SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The fonds consists of some of the business records of the Northern Alberta Radio Club, including correspondence, especially advertising and programme correspondence, constitution and bylaws for a proposed Alberta Provincial Amateur Radio Association, and programmes from the Alberta Hamfest and other regional and national meetings |
GENERAL NOTE: | Information for the administrative history is from the records and from NARC.NET, the Northern Alberta Radio Club website, http://www.narc.net/, accessed July 7, 2004.
