ADMINISTRATIVE
HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Gerard Diamond entered into a partnership with Emilien Dupuis and Aimé Desautels, and formed Diamond, Dupuis and Desautels in December of 1952. Around 1954 Hugh Angus Dunn joined the Edmonton architectural firm and it became Diamond, Dupuis, Desautels and Dunn, and then Diamond, Dupuis, and Dunn around 1955. On October 1, 1958, Gerard Diamond and Ronald Clarke began a partnership and established Diamond-Clarke & Associates. The partnership was dissolved around 1968/1969.
CUSTODIAL HISTORY:Betty Clarke, widow of Ronald Clarke, deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1981.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: The fonds consists of the business records of Diamond-Clarke & Associates, and includes one sous-fonds, Edmonton Engineering Associates Limited sous-fonds, and two series: Project records and Administrative records. Diamond-Clarke & Associates projects included schools, churches, hospitals, commercial buildings, and hotels.

GENERAL NOTE: Information for the administrative history is from the records. Included in accession PR1981.0218 are records belonging to the Ronald Clarke fonds, the Diamond-Clarke fonds (and Edmonton Engineering Associates Limited sous-fonds), the Clarke, Saunders, Boucock & Associates fonds, and the Polaris Construction Limited fonds.
