He worked in oil exploration and oil site leasing in southern and southeastern Alberta and west central Saskatchewan. The company he owned was one of the companies that collaborated to form Sask Oil. Bob predeceased Margaret by about 30 years. Margaret continued to live in the house they built in Windsor Park, Edmonton until her death. | CUSTODIAL HISTORY: | These films and slides were created by Bob and Margaret MacRae. Upon their death, a relative, Fred Reid gained ownership of the films and slides. He in turn gave them to Ray Neiman, who donated them to the Provincial Archives of Alberta. | SCOPE AND CONTENT: | Fonds consists of transparencies and films of Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia, including such subjects as the oil industry, the Sundance Power Plant at Bighorn Dam, and vacation shots. |
