| HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | Victor Mercredi was born in 1886 to Pierre Mercredi and Marie Beaulieu. He worked on steamships, and as a trader and trapper in the Fort Chipewyan area of Northern Alberta. In 1943, he took over management of the Fort Chipewyan post office. In 1946, he became agent for the Canadian Pacific Airlines. |
