SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of material created for or during VANA National Conventions and Prairie Regional Conventions, which consisted of VANA members and branches from Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The first National Convention was held in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1988. Subsequent conventions were held on a rotating basis in different cities across Canada including Edmonton, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Saskatoon.
The series also consists of audio recordings of several speakers at the first VANA National Convention in 1988 and planning records created by the Edmonton Branch to host the National Convention in 1992.
