The series consists of records created by other organizations in the wider peace movement, including the Vancouver Island Network for Disarmament, the World Federalists of Canada, Canadian Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, Project Ploughshares, Defence Research and Education Centre, the Canadian Peace Alliance, Utah Physicians For Social Responsibility, the Soviet Peace Committee, the Pro-Canada Network, and the Alberta Citizens' Anti-Cruise Committee.

A large portion of the material consists of newsletters from allied organizations, including various issues of The Ploughshares Monitor, Press For Conversion, Edmonton Tools For Peace, Disarmament Times, and the Socialist Voice.

Of particular note are the records related to Project Ploughshares and the Defence Research and Education Centre (DREC). VANA Edmonton and Project Ploughshares shared many members and collaborated on several projects, while DREC acted as a research arm of the national VANA organization. Project Ploughshares and DREC records in this series consist of newsletters, research reports, DREC bylaws, Project Ploughshares meeting minutes, and other administrative records.
