| HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | Kanata Productions was founded by Gil Cardinal after the dissolution of Great Plains Productions in 1996. Kanata was to serve as Cardinal’s main production company but ultimately no projects were completed solely under the Kanata Productions imprint. The company was dissolved in 2000. |
| SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The series consists of proposed projects and a copy of a production (Tikinagan) produced by the NFB in cooperation with Kanata Productions. Tikinagan is a documentary about First Nations child welfare programs in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. |
