SCOPE AND CONTENT:

Material from George Govier includes architectural design of their home in Calgary, obituaries of family, friends, and colleagues, diaries, degrees, awards, speeches, teaching material, publications, conference material, anniversary party organizing, travel journals, reports from his consulting business, the Alberta Order of Excellence, Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGGA) publications, genealogy, and files related to family and friends which include speeches, newspaper clippings, biographical notes, and photographs.

The VHS is an interview with George as one of the chairs of the Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) in 2005. DVD-Rs contain photographs, interviews, Alberta Order of Excellence induction ceremony, a University of Alberta Chemical Engineering class reunion, and Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) 75th Anniversary photographs and video. The CD-Rs contain photographs.

The architectural drawings are of the Govier residence built in Calgary and the maps are of Alberta Mines & Technical Surveys as well as the Alberta Electric System.
