Prevey was born to Warren W. and Ida E. Prevey. His family moved from Juneau County, Wisconsin to Edmonton, Alberta where his father founded the Edmonton City Dairy Company (ECD) on May 6, 1906 and served alternately as president and manager of the dairy until his death in 1948. Chester Prevey attended the University of Toronto where he wrote his master's thesis, The Development of the Dairy Industry of Alberta in 1950. Prevey lived in Victoria, British Columbia in 1977. | | SCOPE AND CONTENT: | Fonds consists of records pertaining to the Edmonton City Dairy and includes photographs depicting various Edmonton City Dairy buildings, equipment and employees, and football club.
