HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: H. Gilbert Sorenson was born circa (ca.) 1887 in Norway and immigrated to Alberta in 1909. He married his wife Hilda in 1912 and they lived in Edmonton. Sorenson worked from 1924-1944 as an installer for City Phones and then worked as a lineman for Edmonton Transit and a driver for Johnson Brothers Electric during 1949-1951. He retired in 1952.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: Fonds consists of a photocopied newspaper clipping from the Edmonton Journal dated August 9, 1976 and copied photographs dating ca. 1911-ca. 1919 that depict the construction of the Edmonton Radial Railway, Edmonton Ski Club members, and the Camrose Lutheran College Band.
