HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Jeanne Keroack was born in Edmonton in 1918. She is the daughter of Emma (Baril) Keroack (1894-1984) and Albert Keroack (1887-1975) who married in 1916 and had 15 children. Jeanne attended the École Grandin and later the Assumption Academy run by the Sisters of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin in Edmonton. She had an interest in performing arts and genealogy; she collected information on her Keroack ancestor, the Count Louis Maurice Le Brice de Kerouartz, who came from Brittany, France to Quebec in 1719. Jeanne married Tharcis Forestier on August 12, 1952 in the St. Joachim church in Edmonton. Jeanne Forestier lives in Edmonton (2014).
SCOPE AND CONTENT: The sous-fonds consists of personal records of Jeanne Forestier, including correspondence, a diary, sewing class notes and patterns, music sheets, programs for artistic activities, financial information, genealogical information, newspaper clippings, eulogies and obituaries, and family photographs.
