HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: Peter McGregor was a mine accountant for Consolidated Fenimore Iron Mines Limited and worked at Fort Chimo in northern Quebec.
CUSTODIAL HISTORY:Thelma Cameron deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1978. Her relationship to Peter McGregor is unknown.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: The fonds consists of a typed copy of a diary kept by Peter McGregor at the mining and exploration camps at Fort Chimo and Leaf Bay in the Ungava Bay region of Quebec and equipment lists for two-men geological and prospecting parties.
GENERAL NOTE: Information for the biographical sketch is taken from the records. Thelma Cameron also deposited the records for the Thelma Cameron collection (PR 1648) and the Stew Cameron fonds (PR1884).
