Funeral services were held on September 24, 1957 at the Fort McMurray Anglican Cemetery.A self-educated man, J.D. Waring spent his retirement years working as a field observer for Dr. William Rowan, a biologist and teacher who was conducting a survey into the ten-year population cycle of the snowshoe hare. J.D.
