HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | The Edmonton Rugby Union (ERU) was established in 1960. In 1971, the ERU was able purchase of thirty acres of land at Ellerslie, Alberta to serve as its permanent grounds. The Ellerslie Rugby Park was completed in 1975, the first functional, regulation-sized fields in northern Alberta. |
CUSTODIAL HISTORY: | Norma Dalton deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1981. Her association to the Edmonton Rugby Union is unknown. |
SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The fonds includes a report from the Edmonton Rugby Union Fundraising Committee, and a poster from a fundraising event, a concert by The Dubliners. |
