HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | Marjorie Killick was born and raised in Rocky Mountain House. Upon entering high school she moved to Edmonton and began participating in organized sports. Upon graduating from high school, Killick became well known as an athlete on various Edmonton teams in 1920s and 1930s including Edmonton Gradettes Basketball Club (the feeder team for the Edmonton Grads) and the Edmonton Eskimos baseball team. |
CUSTODIAL HISTORY: | The records were donated by Marjorie Gillick in 2004. Marjorie Gillick was Marjorie Killick’s niece and acquired the scrapbook after Marjorie Killick’s death. |
SCOPE AND CONTENT: | The fonds consists of a scrapbook created by Marjorie Killick. The scrapbook consists of newspaper clippings of Killick’s sporting accomplishments and other Edmonton sports news. |
