History: 1935. First ministers of New United Church: Rev. J.M. Pritchard, Rev. A.K. McMinn. Originally was Wesley Methodist Church. West Addition - Church Hall.
1913 Corner Stone Laid by W.S.C. Galbraith, June 17 1916 dedicated. South minister's Church organ made by Casavant, and installed in 1918, for $8000. In 1979 it was worth $350,000. Wilfred Woolhouse is organ caretaker in 1980 at Southminister. 1925 June 10, (1925) The United Church of Canada was formed through a Union of Methodists, Congregationalists and a large section of the Presbyterians.
1935 June 23, Congregations of Wesley and Knox United Churches formed Southminster Church.
