HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: | A resolution was passed at the 1919 United Farmers of Alberta Annual Convention urging locals in the various provincial districts to hold conventions to discuss the ways and means of taking independent political action and selecting an independent candidate. U.F.A. Coronation Constituency Co-operative Association was organized for this purpose. In January 1939, UFA delegates voted to cease all political activity. The Board of the U.F.A. Coronation Constituency Co-operative Association also functioned as a co-operative association. |
CUSTODIAL HISTORY: | Mr. J.E. Cook deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 1974. Mr. J.E. Cook received these records from Ralph Thornton. |
