HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH: The Wetaskiwin U.F.A. and U.F.W.A. Provincial Constituency Association, with a motto of “Equal rights for all,” aimed to establish better social and economic conditions, and to elect a member to the Legislature who believed in the principles of the UFA and the UWFA. In 1934, the Wetaskiwin Provincial Constituency Association included the following locals: from the UFA, Gwynne, Coal Lake, Winfield, Patience, O’Mara, Malmo, Angus Ridge, Nashville, Lone Ridge, Crooked Lake, Hillside, Haultain, Maywood, Verdun and Poplar Valley, from UFWA, Hillside, Millet, Malmo, Gwynne, and from the Junior locals, Hillside, Porto Bello, Telford, Lone Ridge, Haultain, Maywood.
CUSTODIAL HISTORY:Mrs. Marilyn Nakonechny deposited the records in the Provincial Archives of Alberta in 2001. She discovered the records in her attic, a house purchased in 1987, which is believed to be the former Howes/Fleming residence. Mrs. Thomas H. Howes was secretary to the Wetaskiwin Provincial Constituency Association.
SCOPE AND CONTENT: The sous-sous-fonds consists of the records of the Wetaskiwin Provincial Constituency Association, and includes constitutions, financial statements, and correspondence. Also includes a revised constitution and rules for the Wetaskiwin Riding UFA Debating League.

GENERAL NOTE: Information for the administrative history is from the records. This fonds was donated at the same time, and in the same accession as the following unrelated fonds: the Millet U.F.A. Co-operative Association Limited fonds (PR1142) and the Howes, Flemming family fonds (PR0175).
